Treatment Services

The United States Probation Office in the District of the Virgin Islands has services to assist offenders and defendants with treatment services.
These treatment services may include one, or a combination, of specific treatment needs such as: substance abuse (outpatient and
inpatient), mental health theraphy, and sex offender therapy. Needs will be guided on the individual's Court order and special conditions.

General Information

The United States Probation Office in the District of the VIrgin Islands has the ability to procure for services with treatment services allocations and
Second Chance Act Funding.  The following processes may be used to develop agreements with vendors in the community.

  • Non-Competitive Purchase Order - may be utilized if the estimated cost of the service is $10,000 or less for the fiscal year, without solociting competitive offers.
     
  • Competitive Purchase Orders - may be utilized for services between $10,001 and $25,000 for the fiscal year (competition required).
     
  • Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) is a "charge account" arrangement utilized for the treatment services expected to exceed $25,000 for the fiscal year. 
    BPA's are valid for a specific period of time, not to extend beyond the 12 months fiscal year. BPA's include two 12-month option periods (competition required).
